RACKSTAR®

RACKSTAR® is our patented coating system based on innovative fluor alloys such as PVDF/FEP - FEP/PTFE - PVDF/FEP/PTFE - PVDF/ECTFE, offering outstanding resistance in both acidic and alkaline environments.


It also offers reliable protection for the hydrogen (H2) infrastructure in terms of permeation, embrittlement, corrosion and UV protection.

In the course of the further development of RACKSTAR®, many other positive properties have been identified, so that it can be used in various industries. Our coating system is not only free of organic solvents but also free of perfluorinated and polyfluorinated surfactants (PFAS), which means it complies with current EU directives.


RACKSTAR® coating systems have a high chemical and thermal stability up to > 80 °C. In addition, the coating has a contact angle of > 85° and can achieve up to 120° with appropriate post-treatment by us. Subsequent laser treatment even achieves a contact angle of > 160°. This makes RACKSTAR® a hydrophobic coating that is very easy to clean.


In addition, RACKSTAR® is also used for coating electrodes in a wide range of industrial sectors, e.g. fuel cells, decarbonization, hydrogen production, etc.


RACKSTAR® is also an absolute game changer in the field of hydrogen production. As hydrogen is known to exhibit corrosive chemical behavior, RACKSTAR® offers excellent protection for the hydrogen infrastructure: it protects against permeation, embrittlement and corrosion and also provides reliable UV protection.
